Microsoft Outlook Express is an e-mail and news client bundled with certain versions of Microsoft Windows starting with Windows 95. This tutorial covers the configuration of Outlook Express to access your emails from your hosting account.

What you will Need
1:- A valid email account, if you haven't created an email account yet please log into your Control Panel and set up an email account.
2:- An email client. This tutorial uses Outlook Express, which is a pre-installed component of Windows.

Step 1
In Outlook Express, click on the "Tools" menu bar, then click on "Accounts"

Step 2
Click on the "New" button, then click "Mail" from the menu that appears.

Step 3
It will first ask for your display name. This is the name people will see when you send them email.

Step 4
The next step will ask you for your email address. This is the emial address that was set up in the Control Panel.

Step 5
The next step will ask you for your email server names. For the incoming mail server replace yourdomain.com with your domain name. For the outgoing mail server, use the outgoing mail server specified by your ISP (Internet Service Provider) ie mail.optusnet.com.au if you are an Optus customer.

Step 6
The next step asks you for your Account Name and Password. Your account name is your full email address!

Step 7
Verify this information is correct and click the next button. WIth your email address highlighted, click the properties button.

Step 8
On the General tab, double-check everything is correct, then proceed to the Servers tab.

Step 9
Make sure that the server type is a POP3 server and that both the incoming and outgoing servers are named correctly. Also, make sure that your account name is correct. Your password will be in there as well if you chose to have Outlook/Outlook Express remember your password. Make sure that Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) is NOT checked, and then CHECK THE BOX LABELED My server requires authentication. Once you do this, the Settings button will be selectable, but don't click on it. You won't need to change the default settings.

You're all finished! Click OK, and then click Close to close the Internet Accounts window.
